days trek. Treks in the Himalayas offer an incredible variety. Each area has
its own beauty from green valleys, alpine meadows, pine forests, clear mountain
streams and hidden lakes.
You
don't need any special training for trekking. Anyone who loves nature, is active
, in good health and would like to remain physically fit can trek. Trekking

Trekking Itinerary (Proposed Schedule
DRUK PATH TREK
It is one of the most beautiful and popular trek. The route will lead
you through the wilderness of thick alpine and rhododendron forest, crossing
several remote lakes. In clear weather, you can see some of the most scenic and
breathtaking views of the virgin Himalayas.
This
trek provides a wonderful trekking experience but requires trekkers to be in
good physical condition as it includes many walking hours and the crossing of
two high mountain passes. The view of Mt. Chomolhari(7314m) from Jangothang is
spectacular. The trek also provides an excellent opportunity to see yaks and
yak herders.
BUMTHANG CULTURAL TREK
Bumthang is located in one of the most beautiful valleys of Bhutan. It
is the spiritual heartland of nation and home to some of the oldest Buddhist
monasteries and temples. This trek is named as a cultural trek because the
opportunity to visit villages and Lhakhangs are greater than most other trek in
Bhutan.
GANGTEY WINTER TREK
This is a trek to beautiful Phobjikha Valley (3000m), one of the few
glacial valleys of Bhutan. After crossing the pass you will soon reach the
monastery of Gangtey. This quiet and remote valley is the winter home of the
rare black necked crane, which migrates here annually from the Tibeten plateau.
This trek route will gradually take you through rhododendron forest and several
rural villages. It is a short trek at relatively low elevation.
LAYA GASA TREK
This trek is a an extension of Jhomolhari trek and it offers diverse flora and fauna,
including a good opportunity to spot Blue Sheep, Takin, and the Blue Poppy
(Bhutan's national flower). It gives you the opportunity to experience the
unique culture of Layap people and indulge in the natural hot spring of Gasa.
This is a high altitude trek and the highest pass is Sinchela Pass (5005m).
SAMTENGANG TREK
A low
altitude trek, which begins from Punakha and ends at the bride (Teki Zampa),
about 11km from Wangdue. Low elevation makes this trek possible throughout the
winter. The route leads you through villages, rivers and oak forest.
DUR HOTSPRING
This trek
follows the old expedition route to
Gangkhar Puensum. The trek is strenuous, but the rewards can be worth
the walk. This trek includes a relaxing treatment for aches in the natural hot
spring.
DAGALA THOUSAND LAKES TREK This trek, near Thimphu, offers you an opportunity to visit large number of lovely high altitude lakes.
Along the
trek route alpine flowers, rhododendron, different species of pheasants, musk
dear and mountain birds are found in abundance. Since Dagala Thousand Lake is
situated in the heart of the great Himalayas. This trek offers spectacular views
of some of the most prominent peaks of the world.
LUNANA SNOWMAN TREK
This trek
has been listed as one of the most difficult in the world by Lonely Planet. The
ultimate challenge in trekking. Guaranteed to life your soul, but not for the
